Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa

Easter Island, Chile

Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa is located on a privileged site on Easter Island, on the main coastal road of town with sea views, less than a kilometer from the airport just a few blocks from the center of town.

The architectonic concept of Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa constitutes homage to the ancient Orongo village, whose remains can still be found on the top of the Rano Kau volcano on its western rim. The concept of the village allows for a harmonic interrelation between the spaces, intertwined by the natural landscape design of the indigenous species. The interior decoration is based on the geographic elements of the island, prioritizing the natural light and simple objects from fine materials.

The lodge features 69 “Kainga” rooms. Or, upgrade to one of six “Ma’ung” suites, with a curved double height ceiling, guest bathroom and large open room. The rooms are crafted with natural fine materials, such as cypress trunks, clay and volcanic rock, offering the traveler an immersion into the rapa nui habitat. All rooms have a sofa bed built on site, a native crafted clay tub, shower, telephone, internet connection, desk also built on site, safe, minibar, and a private terrace overlooking the ocean.

A delicious and generous buffet breakfast is served at the Poerava restaurant and includes a variety of options, eggs, dairy, breads, pancakes, pastries, cheeses, juices, seasonal fruits, and muesli. Dinner and sunset drinks are served every evening at Kaloa Bristo. The menu features fresh ingredients like the local fish, purple tuna or mahi mahi. Enjoy a glass of the tasty Chilean chardonnay among the nice wine selection paired by fresh sea food cooked to perfection.

A large freshwater pool and its Vaikoa bar is set in a park with the most beautiful plants, flowers and native trees of the island. A warm lobby area, reading room and a 60-person auditorium featuring cultural films complement the hotel facilities.

Guests can also pursue nature-inspired spa treatments and relaxation at the on-site Manavai spa.
