The Singular

Puerto Bories, Chile

Southwind is proud to present a truly luxurious and customized Chilean Patagonia experience.

Patagonia’s most unique luxury lodge is a piece of renovated history. The hotel is located in the converted “Frigorifico Puerto Bories”, a post-Victorian cold-storage plant built in 1915 for exporting Patagonian sheep products to Europe. After a long period of neglect, the building was restored and transformed into an original boutique-style hotel.

The lodge is a three-hour drive from Punta Arenas airport, with private airport transfers included. Situated just three miles from the nearby town of Puerto Natales, guests can use the hotel’s bicycles to ride there and back.

The 54 Singular Rooms all face the Last Hope Sound with wall-to-wall panoramic windows. Each has 500 square feet of space. The 3 Singular Suites are even more spacious, with a couch and separate sitting area.

At Singular, two restaurants bring you an array of a la carte options. Chef Pasqualetto re-imagines traditional, regional recipes; fully respectful of the area’s culture and its rich by products using only locally grown and fresh ingredients. The bar invites to indulge yourself, relax and share your experiences in the warmth of a fireplace, savoring some of the best wines of Chile.

A chic 3,000 square-foot eco-spa features a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

Singular has a menu of 20+ excursions unlike anything else in the region, offering both small-group activities and exclusive access to private estancias and reserves. Whether you’re open to join a group of other guests or would rather embark on a privately guided excursion requested in advance, Singular’s resident guides are available each day.
