The M/Y La Pinta is an ideal size for cruising the waters of the Galápagos and is large enough to minimize the possibility of seasickness. Social areas are elegant and spacious with a stylish nautical ambiance. Panoramic windows let in plenty of natural light. All 24 outside Luxury Cabins have private bathrooms, large windows and feature twin beds convertible to one queen bed for couples. All cabins are conveniently located on one mid-level deck.
La Pinta is a family-friendly vessel offering 4 pairs of connecting cabins and 4 triple cabins. In-room features include individual AC control, security box, storage space and desk. Fine cotton linens, down duvets, choice of pillows, biodegradable amenities, hair dryer and plush towels will make you feel at home. Outlets allow guests to charge personal electronics.
La Pinta’s thoughtfully crafted itineraries allow for some of the best wildlife and island exploration in Galapagos. Several of this yacht’s excursions take place at exclusive visitor sites, meaning guests will often have entire areas to themselves. A glass-bottom boat, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, and comfortable zodiacs provide the ideal equipment for discovering the Enchanted Islands in a pleasing and safe way.
The 27 staff aboard consistently embrace a spirit of adventure, while ensuring safety and comfort at all times. 4 certified Naturalist guides, including an Expedition leader, ensure your experience runs smoothly. Explore the archipelago in small groups that average just 12 guests (or less) per guide. A Medical Officer is available as well for free consultations.
Gourmet meals created by a Le-Cordon-Bleu gastronomy director are served in the indoor restaurant. There’s a 24/7 coffee station and a bar lounge to socialize and hear nightly activity briefings from the guides. Step outside your camera to make the most of the outdoor social areas which include a terrace for alfresco BBQ dining and an observation deck perfect for equatorial stargazing. Relax with a book in the natural history library, soak in the hot tub, work out in the fitness room or lounge on the sun deck. Limited Wi-Fi is available on board.
La Pinta features sustainable cruise technology, including new engines to cut down on emissions and a wastewater treatment plant, that help reduce guests’ environmental footprint. In addition, the vessel is equipped with its own water treatment plant. La Pinta has been awarded SmartVoyager accreditation for her sound environmental, social and safety practices; an accomplishment granted by the Rainforest Alliance to tour operators in the Galapagos who meet a set of strict conservation standards.
