Description:
One full-time office sales and customer service position available.
Duties include: Tour Consulting answering requests (by email,
phone, fax or mail), promoting trips, follow-up with prospects, outreach
efforts, sales literature updates, presentations and trade shows. Customer
service: managing guest files from initial request through their return
home, airline arrangements, correspondence, and trip evaluation.
Requirements:
- College or trade school degree in Business, Marketing,
Recreation Management, etc. with a minimum of 2 years of successful sales
experience in the adventure travel field. Travel agency or group sales
experience a plus.
- Advanced computer skills with MS Windows-based applications
(word processing, database, etc.)
- Well organized, accurate with numbers and strict attention
to details
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines under
pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter, goal and service oriented
- Enthusiastic and friendly with a and high level of energy
- Travel experience in South America and knowledge of Spanish or
Portuguese is a plus!
- Nature and outdoor oriented (hiking, camping and biking
experience highly recommended)
Additional Benefits:
- Hours & Salary: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Potential
to earn $38,000+ first year based on salary plus commissions
- Personal days off and other benefits accrued according to
sales goals
- Paid training/trial period of 1 month
