Bolivia Trip Extensions

Travelers with a few extra days might wish to extend their program with a 2 or 3 day visit to the charming colonial city of Sucre (9,155'), an ideal destination for acclimating before heading to the higher elevations of La Paz. A 3 or 4 day lodge based extension to the mythical Sun Island in Lake Titicaca, where according to legends, the first Incas Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo appeared. A 4 to 7 day extension to the Bolivian Amazon is also available for the truly adventurous. Explore unspoiled regions of waterfalls, plateaus, rivers, lagoons, and great wildlife viewing at the Madidi and Noel Kempf Mercado parks.

These add-on services can be used to extend most of our scheduled Bolivial trips and may be added before or after your main program. They also can be used as ideas for developing segments of a private adventure. All extensions require a minimum of 2 participants. We suggest placing deposits for extensions at least 2 to 3 months prior to your trip as reservations for hotels, guides and services are not made until deposits are received.
